Another trip to Cape May
While it is a tradition that we always make to Cape May for Easter, we also like to get there once during the height of beach season. This was our first stay at The Star Inn -- a sister property of Congress Hall -- which was not exacty a "motel" in the three-star AAA sense of the word. It was just as expensive as Congress Hall(all the perks like room, pool, and beach service are included), but unlike the rooms arcross the street, these motel suites include a kitchenette and a living room(which makes it definitely more kid friendly). The rocking chairs(one is pictured here) on the balcony are also a plus, especially when someone needs to be rocked to sleep.
Although we stayed four nights(Weds-Sat), which is longer than our usual stays, we didn't actually bake on the beach as much as we might of liked. After spending the first day in the sun and sand, Zoe "decided" that she was going to stop drinking anything -- no formula, juice, or water. At least, she kept on eating baby food(so, we gave her lots runny, juicy foods). Since we were afraid that she would get too dehydrated on the beach, we ended up spending most of the last two days at the pool, where we could kind of keep Zoe "cooler". It's anyone's guess what was going on in Zoe's head, since she gave us no indication that she was sick(we consulted with the pediatrician, just to make sure) -- maybe, she ate too much sand that first day on the beach. After being home for nearly 24-hours, Zoe grudgingly, started taking bottles again...
