A Joyful Meal at Cafe Deluxe
While I love to eat, I doubt I ever display the absolute joy that Lily shows here.

Heather returns to work on Wednesday, so it seemed like it was about time to see if Zoe would take a bottle.
Fearful that it would be months before the weather would be splendid again, we ended up taking Lily and Zoe to the Zoo on two consecutive Sundays(11/05 and 11/12). Hopefully, it's no reflection on me(Heather had been urging just such a trip for months) as a parent that these would be Lily's first visits ever.

I've been asked repeatedly how Lily is reacting to Zoe, and while this picture doesn't tell the entire story, it does convey Lily's overall reaction...now if we could only get Lily to understand the concept of being "gentle" with her little sister things would be that much easier. I think more than anything, Lily gets frustrated that she can't interact with Zoe more.
Okay, so it's not really Lily's first Halloween, but does last year really count? Like Zoe this year, we dressed Lily up last year, either as a pumpkin or a dinosaur(at the moment I can't recall) -- but it's not like she could walk last year, or anything. Again, like last year, we went trick or treating with the Rosenfeld Kids(Heather used to be their nanny) in the Palisades neighborhood of DC -- and while Lily probably didn't get the concept, she seemed to have fun, although she did get spooked by a scary-faced clown that she encountered on a couple of ocassions. She also seemed far more interested in kissing a very large illuminated nylon Jack-O-Lantern in someone's front yard than collecting gobs of candy. Then again, Lily is a child without much of a sweet-tooth. To see the small batch of pics from the evening go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kudukhsu/sets/1280064/
