Here Comes Trouble...
Asa is nine months old today. While he's not terribly mobile yet, he's been able to do this funny "army crawl" for about three weeks now.

After watching Lily go to ballet class for a year(she would instead go to a MyGym class with me at the same time), this past Saturday, Zoe finally got to take her first "Mommy and me" class with Heather. Lily still takes ballet as well, her class(without parental supervision) immediately follows Zoe's. While Zoe wasn't exactly group and she did cry a little, overall she seemed to have fun -- and certainly was very cute.

Even on the rare days like today[the photo to the right is of the girls making their own "pizza" a couple of weeks ago], when it feels like the kids have used up my patience before we've even left the house in the morning, there are still moments that they leave me amazed (and a little bit proud). This morning, without prompting, Lily decided -- in the middle of a show she likes, no less -- that she wanted to turn the television off. Later, in the early afternoon, after Zoe's Gymboree class, I was headed for the McDonald's drive-thru (on River Road) for the girls' lunch (it's easy and quick, and to be honest, I probably feed them this way once or twice a week) when Lily screamed from the back of the van, "I don't want that [meaning chicken nuggets, or a burger], I want tofu..." [she would end up settling for leftover roast pork lo mein]
Even if I didn't have the pictures to prove it, I'd have to say that this year's County Fair, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, ended up being, certainly for the kids, one of highlights of the summer. But now the pictures are up and you can see for yourself: the girls had a blast. We ended up going on the first and last days of the fair(August 10th and 18th), in between Heather was in New York for a teacher's conference -- otherwise we might have been there more.
